Lee Brice… such a good, well rounded, humble and stand up guy. We kind of already knew that about him but seriously, how awesome is this… Brice had the honor of helping lay to rest U.S. Air Force Major Troy Lee Gilbert at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, a decade after he was killed in Iraq. Nash Country Daily reports that Gilbert’s remains were not recovered until 10 years after his F-16 crashed northwest of Baghdad; he had been listed for years as MIA. In 2015, Brice met Gilbert’s wife Ginger at the Folds Honor Event. “Singing at Troy’s funeral was a moment I’ll never forget,” says Brice, who performed “Go Rest High on That Mountain.” “I’m honored to have been a part of this special moment with this incredibly strong family.”
