Kane Brown is not the type of artist that get super personal when it comes to interviews or public stances but this specific situation hits a little closer to home with him. On Tuesday (9/12/2017), Kane participated in a congressional briefing regarding the rental housing crisis on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., where he stood at the podium and told lawmakers about his personal experience with the issue as well as his work with Make Room, an organization working to address the problem and give a voice to those who are struggling.
Kane went to express his experience with the issue that started at a young age when his family found themselves financially strapped and struggling to make ends meet. He told about a period of time when Kane had to live in the car with his mother and brother. But even after graduating from high school and working two jobs, Brown admits that he still found it difficult to pay the rent.
