It’s only been about two weeks since the horrific Vegas shooting that took place at the country music festival while Jason Aldean was on stage – so you can only imagine everyone (including the artists) are still a bit on edge when it comes to these big crowds and performances.

Well – last night in Jacksonville, a friend of mine was at the Florida Georgia Line show at the Veterans Memorial Arena when an alarm went off in the venue. He told me “There was a siren during the song ‘Smooth’ and the music completely stopped. They [FGL] ran off the stage and we originally thought Nelly was about to make an appearance so everyone just stood waiting, then an overhead voice came on and said to evacuate.”

There’s still question to what exactly set off the alarm. They were at first told it was someone who pulled the fire alarm – then we heard it was a smoke detector that went off that set the alarm. Nonetheless, the evacuation scared many in attendance, including the artists. My friend also stated, “I’ve never seen Brian or Tyler move so fast off that stage.” As you can imagine, no one is taking anything lightly when it comes to the safety and security.

I also found a news story with a video of people evacuating last night here.
