Taylor Swift Says Her New Song With Sugarland Has Been In The Making For Years

Following the release of Sugarland’s new Taylor Swift-penned song “Babe” on Friday (4/20), Taylor took to Instagram to share details about the collaboration:

Taylor Swift says, “It’s a song that I wrote with Pat Monahan when I was making the Red album. And, I’m so happy that it gets its own life. I’m so happy that Sugarland wanted to record it and has done such a great job with it. And I’m so stoked to be able to sing on it, too.”

Jennifer Nettles shares details about “Babe,” Sugarland’s new collaboration with Taylor Swift which she co-wrote and pitched to them:

Jennifer Nettles tell us, “We’ve obviously known each other for many years. And she was excited we were getting back together and reached out, and said, ‘Hey, I have a song.’ That is a short list, ladies, and gentleman, of people to whom she has said, ‘Hey, I have a song. Wanna sing it?’” So, we said, ‘Yeah.’”

Dierks Bentley Calls Back People Who Left A Voicemail On His “Mountain Line”

It hasn’t been long since Dierks Bentley announced a new album coming out later this year called “The Mountain.” He is even taking on the persona of a mountain man and growing out his beard, living in a cabin, etc. After releasing his first song from that album, Woman, Amen, he decided to reach out to his fans… or actually have his fans reach out to him! Trace Adkins Will Join The Voice As Blake Shelton’s Advisor

Trace Adkins will reportedly join season 14 of The Voice as coach Blake Shelton’s adviser. According to E! News, the “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” singer will assist Shelton during the battle rounds, when the singing competition returns in February. Shelton’s former advisors have included Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow, Michael Buble, Bette Midler, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, girlfriend Gwen Stefani, and Kelly Clarkson. It’s unclear at this time who will advise fellow coaches Clarkson, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys. Season 14 of The Voice premieres Monday, February 26, on NBC
